If you want to buy some clothes and don't like to visit the same-old malls or buy something you urgently need in one of the Hypermarkets, there are a lot of options. Altogether, there are so many options that you keep wondering if people in the Megacity do other things than shopping!

Greenhills Shopping Center

Even though most people refer to Greenhills as a mall, it is much more of a shopping centre. You can buy a wide range of products in a wide range of qualities there. For Megacitizens, it has become famous for its pearls and everything that goes with it. You can get high-quality pearls for a very low price, especially if you know how to negotiate. A lot of Megacitizens make their final shop stop at Greenhills before going home in order to buy some nice bracelets and other souvenirs. The shopping center can get quite crowded and narrow, so be prepared for a real shopping experience! Greenhills is located in the EDSA-Ortigas Hotspot.

For more information, see the Greenhills website.

168 Shopping Mall

The 168 Shopping Mall is located in the heart of Divisoria, in the middle of Manila. Shopping here is hard work and means bargaining, bargaining, bargaining - nothing for the faint-hearted. The mall itself as well as the surrounding streets are well-known for their Chinese merchandise. If you bring enough time and have a good eye for a great deal, you will find it worthwhile and might be able to score the perfect bargain. It all kind of resembles a big flea market (some of it under a roof) rather than a mall or shopping center.

For more information, see the 168 website.

Marikina Riverbanks Centre

Even though Marikina is not quite in the center of the Megacity anymore, rather forming the far northwestern end, Marikina should be mentioned in the list of attractive shopping destinations. Apart from the regular kinds of clothes you can buy everywhere, Marikina and its Riverbanks shopping area are well-known for their shoe-industry. Marikina has a rich history of shoe-making and also features a museum with hundreds of shoes owned by Imelda Marcos, former First Lady of the Philippines and 'shoe expert'. If you are looking for a quality pair of new shoes, take a trip to Marikina! It is advised, however, to do it on a Saturday while there is less traffic congesting the streets of the Megacity.

For more information, see the Riverbanks' website.

Rustan's

If you are looking for the latest en vogue fashion and apparel, you have to visit one of the Rustan stores. Rustan's is a must-visit if you are looking for certain kinds of brands or clothes you know from other Megacities. Swarovski, Calvin Klein or Lesportsac - no name is too big to be featured in Rustan's extensive choice of brands.

For more information, see Rustan's website.
