Located in Clark, Pampanga, Nayong Pilipino offers cultural and historic tours of the Philippines in one venue. If it's your first time in the Philippines and can't really go around the country in one visit, this is a good first stop.
Nayong Filipino features a Filipino village occupying a 45 acre property. It essentially provides tourists a leisurely glimpse of the diverse cultures and traditions in the Philippines. The sprawling tourist spot, which has become a favorite venue for pre-nuptial photoshoots, is divided into themed areas that feature select regions in the Philippines: Cordillera Central, Ilocos, Tagalog, Bicol, Visayas, and Mindanao, among others.
Each "region" showcases life-sized replicas of traditional houses, representations of sorts of a particular region's characteristic landscape, and some landmarks. There is the Ifugao Village, Kalinga Village, Aeta Village, Kalinga Village, to name a few.
The Heroes Plaza presents the residences of national heroes like Jose Rizal, Apolinario Mabini and Emilio Aguinaldo. One could also find a Spanish-inspired colonial plaza located right smack in the center of Nayong Pilipino. It is modeled after promenade centers like that in Vigan, known for being home to the oldest surviving Spanish architecture in the Philippines. It has cobblestone pathways, an authentic gazebo structure, horse-drawn carriages, official buildings, a centuries-old church named Barasoain Church, among others.
The Museo ng Nayon displays 100-year-old traditional Filipino weaves.
Statues of famous characters in Filipino folklore like Malakas (Strong) and Maganda (Beautiful), said to be the ancestors of the Filipino people, can be found in Nayong Pilipino.
Other must-visits include the lagoon, golden tilapia pond, and the Orchidarium. Cultural shows/events can be enjoyed here as well.
There is a children's playground, souvenir stalls, and food shops.
There are lodgings for those who want to stay overnight. The colonial plaza can be rented out for events like weddings, birthdays, corporate events, etc. Offered also are venues for seminars, team building activities, and the like.
