The Philippines is around 7 hours advance compared to Europe, and almost a day early compared to the US. Those experiencing jet lag need not worry too much about doing nothing in the wee hours of the morning. This Megacity has plenty of establishments that are open 24 hours or until late at night to help you pass the time or replenish essentials.

Metro Manila boasts of convenient stores like 7-11, Mini Stop and Family Mart to serve you when you get hungry at 3 or 4 am. They are located downstairs of condominium or office buildings and almost every street corner. You will never miss them. Mercury Drug, a popular pharmacy, can be helpful in case you forgot to bring your medicines, sleeping pills, or vitamins/supplements. These 24-hour establishments also have a few cheap wines and spirits, both local and international, for those needing a glass or two to help them sleep or relax.

Burger joints/fast-food chains like McDonald's and Jollibee have branches that are open 24 hours. Some have drive thrus.

Want to watch a movie instead? Head to Newport Mall located at Resorts World Manila. They have cinemas that are open 24 hours. The Newport Ultra Cinema 1 has fully reclining seats and unlimited popcorn and drinks.

If you want to check out the local night scene, there are a lot of hotspots, bars, or pubs in the city to keep you company. We've listed down some of these establishments that are open at least until 3 am, if not 24/7. Do check out those nearest your hotel or place of residence.
