Metro Manila · Pasig City Rainforest Adventure Experience (RAVE)
Pasig Rainforest Park rebranded as Rainforest Adventure Experience (RAVE) has something for Megacitizens who love extreme sports and those who just want a respite from the busy streets of the metro.
Amidst the busy streets of Pasig is a thriving rainforest in Maybunga. Established in the year 1977, the park’s main purpose at the time was to catalyze the modernization of the then municipality of Pasig.
The park was known as the Pasig Rainforest Park for several decades until it reinvented itself as RAVE (Rainforest Adventure Experience) –a refuge for thrill-seekers and those who just want a quick escape from the bustling Megacity. The park underwent a number of changes since its inception and this includes the acquisition of an additional 2 hectares in 1996. The rainforest park’s management spruced up the place that year and started building more amenities.
RAVE Pasig Rainforest Park is a well-maintained park complete with a waterpark designed as a little river surrounded by boulders, verdant plants, trees, and a few cottages. The waterpark has several pools –some complete with large slides. There is also an Olympic-size lap pool in RAVE’s waterpark.
If you feel like riding a boat, there is a man-made lagoon at the park where one can rent boats for 40 pesos. The lagoon is also home to various fish species.
For Megacitizens who love flowers, you can stroll around a nice flower garden. At the rainforest park’s petting zoo, one can stand at a Philippine-inspired pavilion to take in the sights. There is also a chess pavilion area where you can play chess using large chess pieces. A kiddie playground where the little ones can play is also among the amenities in this park. Kids can also get on a mini train or play at the labyrinth wall garden.
At the camping grounds, one can find treehouses and seats and tables where one can enjoy a nice picnic.
Since its rebranding, RAVE has included a number of extreme sports facilities. The park has a zip line, wall climbing and rapelling facilities, and an obstacle, BMX, and skateboarding area.
