Bureau of Immigration (BI)

The bureau serves as the enforcement arm of the Department of Justice and the President of the Philippines in ensuring that all foreigners in the Philippines will comply with her existing laws. Among its responsibilities include assisting visitors with their visas whether they are staying here as a tourist, businessman, or student

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)

The department is tasked to expand Philippine trade, industries and investments as the means to generate jobs and raise incomes for Filipinos. Megacitizens can contact the department for questions regarding registration of business name, getting a business permit, and other documents. The Board of Investments, one of the agencies under DTI, was created to assist foreign investors as well.

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)

Megacitizens can get in touch with SEC if they want to register their business as a corporation. They should keep in mind that there are certain requirements for foreigners. Philippine law only allows 40 percent ownership for foreign investors.

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)

The bureau is simply put the tax agency of the Philippines.

Bureau of Customs (BoC)

The agency is under the Department of Finance. It is task to monitor, collect lawful revenues from exports, imports and foreign trade. 

Note: BoC's website is a little slow so it is best to contact them via telephone if you have a question.
