The cuisine of the Balkan peninsula combines the best of Eastern European and Mediterranean Food. "Balkan Yugoslavian Home Cooking" brings these culinary traditions to Manila.

General Information

The restaurant Balkan is located in one of the quiet Legazpi Village streets where you can find an unexpected high number of nice cafés and restos. A plank floor and heavy wooden furniture contribute to the rustic yet still elegant style of the restaurant. Black and white photographies on the wall give an impression of the beautiful countries that used to form Yugoslavia until the early 1990s, namely Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, and Macedonia.

The filling dishes at Balkan are dominated by meat and potatoes, but they also serve delicious salads to balance your meal.

Why Megacitizens Should Pay This Establishment A Visit

Food from Eastern and Southeastern Europe is still rare in Metro Manila. Here is the chance to try many traditional delicacies, such as the beef stew goulash, cevapcici burger, stuffed chicken, and - for dessert - palacinke, the regional version of crepes.
